A Listening Ear in the Third Barnstable
District
East Falmouth, MA, January 24, 2011 - Newly elected State
Representative David T. Vieira announces the committees he will be
serving on during this legislative session.
The East Falmouth Republican has been appointed to the following
committees: ranking Republican member of the Public Safety and
Homeland Security Committee; Education Committee; and Tourism,
Arts, and Cultural Development Committee.
"I'm very excited to have been appointed by Minority Leader
Bradley Jones to these three committees, which I believe are
important to our district. I look forward to bringing my
previous professional and volunteer experiences to my assignments,"
said Vieira.
Representative Vieira announces the establishment of policy
sub-committees. These committees will meet periodically and
discuss issues within the district, and pending legislation.
"This is a great way for citizens of Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne,
and Barnstable to get involved and have their voices heard" said
Mark Mancini, Representative Vieira's Legislative Aide.
The policy sub-committees include: Business & Economic
Development; Healthcare; Public Safety & Homeland Security;
Education; Human Service & Public Health; Environment, Natural
Resources & Agriculture; Telecommunication, Utilities &
Energy; Housing; Children, Families & Persons with
Disabilities; Elder Affairs; Veteran Affairs; Local and County
Government Affairs.
