Ceremonial Swearing In
Due to the high probability of bad weather for Friday, January
21st, we will be postponing the Ceremonial Swearing In that was to
be held at the Navigator in Falmouth.
We will let you know as soon as possible about future plans for
this event.
David will be taking the official oath of office at the
Statehouse on Wednesday, January 5th in a formal session.
Space is extremely limited so we are planning on a ceremonial
swearing in at the Portuguese-American Association's Navigator in
East Falmouth. (Get Directions)
The ceremonial swearing in will take place on Friday, January
21st. The evening will begin with cocktails from
5:30-6:30pm. The swearing in ceremony will be officiated by
Sheriff James Cummings at 6:30pm. Dinner will be served
around 7pm with music and dancing to follow.
Tickets for the event will be $15 per person which
includes a home cooked chicken dinner (cash bar
available). We only have 100 spots available so we will be
taking names on a reservation list on a first come basis. If
you are interested please call 508-548-VOTE (8683) and leave your
name and the names of those attending with you. Payment will
be collected at the door, checks payable to "VOTE VIEIRA."
